New Building
Our magnificent new campus provides an extraordinary opportunity for the Yeshiva Aharon Yaakov Ohr Eliyahu to expand its mission.
The most immediate benefit of the new campus will be the addition of much needed classroom space and additional community spaces including the beis medrash, auditorium, gymnasium, library, science laboratory, computer laboratory and faculty lounge. The larger campus will allow us to increase our student body and to expand our educational programming, including our enrichment programs. Moreover, it will provide a beautiful and inspiring environment in support of our mission.
Beyond the obvious advantages of a larger more modern campus for our students, in its new location the yeshiva is also poised to make significant contributions to the community as a whole. First and foremost, our central location will afford greater opportunities to share our mission and unique approach with other schools and to benefit from the positive exchange of educational ideas and approaches. The new location also uniquely positions Ohr Eliyahu to reach out to the broader Los Angeles community in order to further greater understanding and positive relations. And of course, its prime location and beauty will establish it as a source of pride, symbolizing the growth and achievements of the Los Angeles Jewish community.
Most importantly, we understand that the new campus itself is a message: Jewish education is vital to our future as a people and central to our personal growth and development. As we move to this new campus and enter a new era in our yeshiva’s history, we also renew our purpose as we continue to enthusiastically embrace our mission of creating within each and every student a love of learning, a commitment toward character development and a pride in our Torah legacy.
